I finally had some time to make it to the farmer’s market this morning.
I haven’t been since I have gotten back from winter break. It was very cold and windy, but it was nice to visit in the winter to see the changes in produce. There were many vendors selling sweet potatoes, and I really want to learn how to cook with them.
After getting an email the other day saying how successful Sunberry Baking Company was this past weekend, their first time with a table out at the farmer’s market, I had to get something. Having had some of his scones a few months ago, I stopped by to say hello to Justin and I got another chocolate chip scone and a rice crispy treat (mostly for Brian, because he loves them).

Both were as delicious as I thought they would be. This is the first time I have tried really good vegan baking, and so far I have been pleasantly surprised.
They have an entire list of products on their website, and I am looking forward to trying many more of their baked goods (vegan brownies, lavender shortbread and lemon poppyseed cookies are on the top of my list!). They also add labels to your bag when you purchase something, which is nice, because it lets you see all of the ingredients they use.

Thanks for the shout out, Seana! I am glad you liked the Crispy Rice Treat. Vegan marshmallows are always a pleasant surprise. Hope to see you again soon–and I will let you know when we have the Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies.
